Where heritage meets hosptality
HK Gård (Hestkøbgaard) is a historic Danish manor in Birkerød, North Zealand. Home to a welcoming Café & Bistro, the estate also hosts weddings, conferences, and private celebrations in its elegant, natural surroundings. With a reputation for timeless charm and refined service, it was essential that the digital presence reflect the same atmosphere.
Designing with sophistication in mind
While working with HoneyBadger Solutions, I built HK Gård’s website using the Duda platform. My approach was to balance posh sophistication with accessibility — ensuring the site felt polished, but easy for visitors to explore whether they were booking a table, browsing the menu, or planning a wedding.
Inspiration
The design was heavily inspired by:
- The manor’s architecture – grand, heritage-rich, and full of character.
- The elegant menu – stylish, tasteful, and perfectly aligned with the brand’s identity.
This combination guided the tone of the site: refined, graceful, but always welcoming.
The result
The finished website positions HK Gård as more than just a place to dine — it’s a destination. By blending style with usability, the site captures the manor’s unique personality and provides a consistent, on-brand experience across every touchpoint.
